La noche de anoche, la Asociación Internacional de Cine de Animación de Hollywood (ASIFA-Hollywood) dio a conocer a los ganadores de la 49ª edición de los Premios Annie que premian a lo mejor de la animación en cine, productos televisivos y videojuegos.
The Mitchells vs. The Machines, producción de Sony Pictures, y Arcane, producción de Riot Games, ambas distribuidas por Netflix, fueron las grandes ganadoras de la noche al conseguir todos los premios de las categorías a las que estaban nominadas. Dejando a Raya and the Last Dragon y Luca, las más nominadas, sin ningún premio por parte de estas producciones de Disney.
