Las nominaciones a los Premios BAFTA 2026 ya fueron reveladas y confirman a One Battle After Another, de Paul Thomas Anderson, y Sinners, de Ryan Coogler, como las grandes protagonistas de la temporada de premios. Ambas películas encabezaron el listado anunciado este martes, consolidando su impulso rumbo a la ceremonia.
One Battle After Another lidera las nominaciones con 14 candidaturas, incluyendo Mejor Película, Mejor Dirección y Mejor Guion Adaptado. El filme llegó a esta etapa con 16 menciones en la longlist, la cifra más alta registrada en la historia de los BAFTA. Sus 14 nominaciones representan el segundo mayor número para una sola cinta, solo detrás de Gandhi (1983), y empatan con títulos emblemáticos como The King’s Speech y All Quiet on the Western Front.
Este año destaca además la presencia de ocho nominados debutantes en las categorías de actuación, entre ellos Chase Infiniti, quien también compite por el BAFTA Rising Star Award, así como Teyana Taylor, Stellan Skarsgård y Rose Byrne.
