Esta noche se llevó a cabo la 27ª edición de los Critics’ Choice Awards que estuvo a cargo de Taye Diggs (All American) y Nicole Byer.
Durante la noche se entregaron 41 premios, 21 a lo mejor del cine y 20 a la televisión, auspiciados por la prensa estadounidense y canadiense (CCA por sus siglas en inglés). Además, Halle Berry fue reconocida con el premio #SeeHer; y Billy Crystal recibió el premio pro su trayectoria.
